Biography

Jennifer is currently a senior analyst and data scientist within the Critical Technology team at the Cyber, Technology and Security.

Jennifer is a physicist and was an associate professor in the Research School of Physics at the Australian National University prior to joining ASPI. In her previous roles, she held Australian Research Council fellowships including the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II fellowship. She has co-authored over 100 journal articles in the field of semiconductor processing and devices. Her research expertise is electron microscopy of semiconductor structures and extends across technological areas like nanotechnology, silicon processing, optoelectronics and wide bandgap semiconductors. She is passionate about science and sees the potential of critical technologies to Australia's future. Her current work supports a data driven approach to policy advice.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Bristol (UK), a PhD in Ion beam processing of silicon from the Australian National University (Australia) and a Graduate Diploma in Data Science from the University of New South Wales (Australia).
